Junk Food: How to stop taking it?
OMG, once again I have made a mistake but nothing
can be done now. I have just finished eating up the whole bag of salty, crunchy
and somewhat delicious chips. There are mixed feelings of satisfaction and
regret in me.
The million dollar question is “How can we cut the intake of junk food?” So, the most important thing is to draw some strict rules and start following them. We, first of all, have to switch from junk food to the healthy food. Whenever we feel hungry, despite eating chips, chocolates, candy bars, sodas, fast food, burgers, etc. In the beginning, it will be a nightmare for us to think living without junk food, But, with the strong will and belief in ourselves can do the wonder of switching from junk to healthy food.
switching is not to leave eating fries for the rest of the life but it is, in reality, controlling the mindless and unhealthy eating habits. Thus, if we wish to eat some fries, we must get some and enjoy eating them in a good mood. So, we have to train the brain and should not label junk food as ‘forbidden.’ This change in our attitude will bring a wonderful and magical change in our lives.
Furthermore, let's start a game called "Make the Good Stuff Obvious." The reason why we grab junk is that it’s quicker and easier. So, let’s be more productive than our sleepy afternoons and start eating something healthy. When we arrive home from shopping, rinse the grapes, and place them in a bowl at the front of the fridge. Cut up some bell peppers and have hummus. Leave a bunch of bananas on the counter. When the craving hits, the healthy snacks will take the place of junk food because they are there in-front of us.Last but not the least, the biggest hack is to
ask us, “Is this a real hunger or it is just a boredom, stress, tiredness and a
time pass?”
